| CR
Bradley is one of the most highly respected
calf horse trainers in the industry.
One of the few to be successful in both
PRCA rodeos and the AQHA show circuit,
CR qualified for the NFR in 2004, his
first year hauling to all of the major
rodeos and won over $50,000 during the
NFR in Las Vegas. CR has won the champion
calf roping title at the Ft. Worth Stock
Show and Rodeo as well as several others.
CR is a 20x AQHA and AQHYA World and
Reserve World Champion, with 20+ Quarter
Horse Congress championships. In order
to reach the goals he set for himself, CR started forming a solid
foundation in the understanding and practice
of horsemanship at young age while riding
under his parents’ tutelage. Using
his experience and his college degree to
maintain the highest level of professionalism,
CR has developed a successful
training and coaching program centered
around horsemanship. CR’s clinic
at the NRS Training Center is a great opportunity
to spend time working with CR and your
horse personally. The clinic will encompass
many aspects of training your calf horse
and keeping him going in the right direction.
Before working on calves,
CR wants the horse to be trained enough to
be collected and to be able to control the
entire body. Beginning with horsemanship,
the clinic will then
progress to tracking the calf, stopping,
scoring, leaving the box quietly, working
the rope and much more. This is not a flanking
and tying clinic, but
rather a focus on how to help your horse
get better and keep him that way. You should
already understand how to flank and tie.
There will be an
assortment of calves to suit different levels
of horses and ropers. The clinic will conclude
with a competition to see whose horse has
made the largest
improvement in their skills over the course
of the clinic. You may bring one horse only.
Whether you are tuning up or training your
calf horse,
CR can help you.
