The NRS Training Center is now thrilled to offer Stran Smith Calf Roping Clinics. This is your opportunity to come learn from one of the all-time greats. 6 time NFR qualifier and 1998 & 2001 PRCA Fan's Favorite. Stran will cover everything it takes for you to greatly improve your tie-down roping skills. Each clinic is 2 full days with Stran. Each student will arrive the afternoon before to handle any administrative issues, get settled in, and be treated to dinner by NRS.

This hardworking athlete invests many long hours to consistently rank among the top fifteen professional calf ropers in the world and is leading the Jack Daniels World standings...a very impressive statistic considering he currently competes against 2400 other Pro Rodeo ropers, all seeking the same goal...a World Championship. Stran's dedication was most rewarded in Dallas, TX at the 2001 Texas Stampede - Copenhagen Cup Finale. He brought over 17,000 thundering rodeo fans to their feet as he tied the existing world record with a sizzling time of 6.7 seconds.

Currently, Stran annually travels over 100,000 miles to 100 cities with his beloved horses...always with the goal of reaching the pinnacle of Pro Rodeo success, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) held in Las Vegas, Nevada each December. In the years since he turned "pro," Stran has not only become on of the top professional cowboys in the world, he has also acquired an ever-growing fan base.
