Walt Woodard has been team roping for most
of his life and making that statement for
the last three decades. First inspired,
then instructed by his father, Walt has
reached the pinnacle of team roping as World
Champion, PRCA Champion and NFR Champion.
Walt has qualified for the NFR 16 times
and taught hundreds and hundreds of clinics
all across the nation and the world, including
Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Walt
is considered by many to be the most effective
team roping instructor and is renown for
his motivational speaking and teaching  abilities.
Many of Walt’s students have achieved
the status of Professional Team Ropers.
An excellent example of Walt’s teaching
abilities is the success of his 19 year
old son, Travis. On June 23, 2003, Mikey
Fletcher and Travis Woodard became the youngest
team in history to win the prestigious BFI
