1.
Roll up before starting your
polo wrap. Begin with bulk
of roll toward rear of horse,
to wrap from outside to inside.
Hold 8″-10″ of
bandage end up with one hand
and begin wrap there. Place
bandage several inches below
the horse's knee or hock to
begin.

2.
Start wrapping the horse leg,
while holding lock flap up at
an angle so it wraps smoothly.
Wrap down leg to just above
fetlock, overlap each layer
by half each time you go around.
Pull each layer of the polo
wrap gently. Only pull when
you come around back of
leg toward inside of horse’s
body. Wrap around fetlock should
angle down slightly and pull
under and up to provide support
to tendons and ligaments. |
 |
3.
Once this one turn is taken,
fold lock flap down across top
of layers already in place. |
 |
4.
With no wrinkles, wrap back
up leg over lock flap. This
helps keep bandage from slipping. |
 |
5.
Finish polo leg wrap just below
horse's knee with velcro tab
pointing toward rear of horse.
For heavy use, you may place
a short piece of tape over velcro
to help keep it closed. Be sure
that you are only pulling on
backside of each wrap. It is
easy to get
polo bandages too tight since
they are stretchy. |
